Join us as Foresight's 2011 Immersion Fellows showcase their projects, consisting of sustainabile solutions in the areas of the built environment, business, civic innovation, and communication design.

Academy for Global Citizenship-Catalyst to Innovation

The immersion alternative education team presents the Academy of Global Citizenship's mission of transforming cultural identity through public education; using the academy's model and success, public schools can adopt recommendations within various departments, including: faculty, finance, facilities, curriculum, policy, nutrition and social affairs. With sustainability and adaptation consistently employed, schools can collaborate and share best practices to implement national change.

CNT Energy - Energy Efficiency
Alina Ahmad, John Dobies, Matt Jones
We are working to create greater awareness and buy-ins for energy efficiency programs. We have evaluated the systems of providers and customers, and see the need for a more cyclical approach. Collaboration will be an important tool in achieving greater awareness and buy-ins for energy efficiency programs.

Communicating Sustainability
Kimberly Boustead, Nathan Case-McDonald, Carley Matsumoto, Nathalie Razo
Our project addresses issues of communication by seeking to establish connections among people who are working on a variety of community projects.  In doing this, we hope to form reciprocating relationships that strengthen the community.

Future of Work/Space
Leslie Blanchard, Kate Merena, Jen North, Joanna Racho
What should an organization consider as it prepares to renovate existing space or create a new space? Are there elements beyond the simple placement of offices and desks? Join the Immersion 2011 Future of Work/Space Team for a preview of a holistic framework for creating offices that are green, build community, offer flexibility for the future and demonstrate the organization's values and mission.
